This message is a profound and one that I have never put out before the more you read the bible the more
you come to realisation that the Jewish people not only did they not know their God but they were disobedient to Him through his son Jesus Christ
This message is 1st Samuel Ch8 v7-9:And the Lord said to Samuel, Hearken to the voice of the people in all they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not be King over them. According to all the works which they have done since I brought them up out of Egypt even to this day, forsaking Me and serving gods, so they also do to you. So listen now to their voice; only solemnly warn them and show them the ways of the king who shall reign over them.
Samuel Ch8v17-22: He will take a tenth of your flocks, and you yourselves shall be his slaves. In that day you will cry out because of your king you have chosen for yourselves, but the Lord will not hear you then. Nevertheless, the people refused to listen to the voice of Samuel, and they said, No! We will have a king over us. That we also may be like all the nations, and that our king may govern us and go out before us and fight our battles. Samuel heard all the people's words and repeated them in the Lord's ears. And the Lord said to Samuel, Hearken to their voice and appoint them a king. And Samuel said to the men of Israel, Go every man to his city.
Samuel Ch10v18-19: And said to the Israelites, Thus says the Lord, the God Of Israel: It was I Who brought up Israel out of Egypt and delivered you out of the hands of the Egyptians and of all the kingdoms that oppressed you. But you have this day rejected your God, Who Himself saves you from all your calamities and distresses; and you have said to Him, No! set a king over us. So now present yourselves before the Lord by your tribes and by your thousands.
SAMSUNG AND DELILAH
Judges Ch7v2: The Lord said to Gideon, The people who are with you are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel boast about themselves against Me, saying, My own hand has delivered me.
So now proclaim in the ears of the men, saying, Whoever is fearful and trembling, let him turn back and depart from Mount Gilead. And 22,000 of the men returned, but 10,000 remained.
And the Lord said to Gideon, The men are still too many; bring them down to the water, and I will test them for you there. And he of whom I say to you, This man shall go with you, shall go with you; and he of whom I say to you, This man shall not go with you, shall not go.
So he brought the men down to the water, and the Lord said to Gideon, Everyone who laps up the water with his tongue as a dog laps it, you shall set by himself, likewise everyone who bows down on his knees to drink.
And the number of those who lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, was 300 men, but all the rest of the people bowed down upon their knees to drink water.
And the Lord said to Gideon, With the 300 men who lapped I will deliver you, and give the Midianites into your hand. Let all the others return every man to his home.
So the people took provisions and their trumpets in their hands, and he sent all the rest of Israel every man to his home and retained those 300 men. And the host of Midian was below him in the valley.
That same night the Lord said to Gideon, Arise, go down against their camp, for I have given it into your hand.
But if you fear to go down, go with Purah your servant down to the camp
And you shall hear what they say, and afterward your hands shall be strengthened to go down against the camp. Then he went down with Purah his servant to the outposts of the camp of the armed men.
And the Midianites and the Amalekites and all the sons of the east lay along the valley like locusts for multitude; and their camels were without number, as the sand on the seashore for multitude.
FORGIVENESS
WHEN YOU FORGIVE, FORGIVE AND FORGET
Psalm 103: 11,12 For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward who fear Him; as far as the east from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
I have heard people say that they have forgiven something in the past, but they keep reminding us of what happened back then. That is witchcraft, not forgiveness. Some day you or someone you love is going to need real forgiveness. If not you, then your son, your daughter, or your mother will make a decision in a moment of sin that will destroy their life forever unless they are fortunate enough to live in a community of people whom they know will forgive them.
I knew woman who kept a written record of other peoples offenses that she had committed to memory. She was a talebearer and a loveless, Bible-thumping churchgoer. According to her, she and her teenage daughter were so holy they were on the verge of being translated. But when the unwed daughter got pregnant, this woman tragically took her own life.
She who would not forgive could not receive. She never gave mercy, and mercy was not coming back. If you do not give forgiveness, you will never receive forgiveness. That is the law of God, and nothing will ever change it.
I have also read the story of a young nurse in here who fell asleep on the job and then made a routine error that cost a young boys life. The director of the hospital was so incensed that he read his report to her demanding the Board of Health to expulse her immediately. She stood there in pitiful silence, half-fainting with shame and remorse.
When asked if she had anything to say for herself, she stammered out, Forgive me... and give me another chance. Fortunately, the director heard the far-off word, Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors (Matt 6:12), AND PARDONED HER.
Given another chance, the young nurse became one of the most honoured nurses in England. She was fortunate to have met someone whose loving heart could forgive.
WHEN YOU DO NOT FORGIVE
Proverbs 14:10 The heart knows its own bitterness, and a stranger does not share its joy
To not forgive someone is to sentence yourself to living in an emotional hell. Perhaps you are hurting from the rejection of a dear friend or the betrayal of a business partner.
It may be the emotional devastation of a bitter divorce. Or you have been offended by someone in the church. Perhaps your childhood was destroyed by a father who did not love you or a mother who ignored you. In the back of your mind you relive loveless days and heartbreaking moments, and there are bitter words that ring in your ears day and night haunting words of rejection are indelibly etched into your memory.
Resentment has festered in your soul, and bitterness literally controls you like a raging cancer. You laugh, but your laughter is hollow. You smile, but behind the mask are the tears. You go through the motions of life like a robot without feelings. You search for relief with magic drug formulas. But there is no peace. It cannot be bought from a psychiatrist. The pain and memories will not stop.
The only solution is forgiveness. Forgiveness is the first step toward hope, happiness, healing, and freedom, and I urge you to take it. It is not what happens to you that matters; its how you react to it. You can get bitter, or you can get better.
You can become sour and vindictive, or you can forgive it. When you let bitterness get in your soul, you begin the death process, and you can only be delivered by the peace of God that surpasses all understanding. I say to you, Forgive, and forgive quickly, that your soul, your mind, your health, your body, and your home might be spared. And know the blessing of the Lord that makes rich and adds no sorrow (Prov 10:22)
HOW SO I FORGIVE SOMWONE WHO HAS HURT ME?
Proverbs 19: 11- the discretion of a man makes him slow to anger, and his glory is to overlook a transgression.
The Bible says we are to forgive immediately. Do not wait. The Bible says Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift (Matt 5:23, 24) God says, Stop being religious.
Im not listening to you until you get reconciled with that other person. He will not receive an offering of a million pounds over the stench of discord in the body of Christ.
Second, be reconciled. Take the initiative and go to the person, and you make the matter right. Nothing is right until it is settled right. Do not just say, Well, I know they know I am sorry. You go and tell them, and you make it right.
Third, forgive yourself. That is often the most difficult part of forgiveness. You can forgive other peoples foolish mistakes, but you cannot forgive yourself. Remember: If God has forgiven you, forgive yourself. If God has forgotten it, you forget it.
And, forth, how often should you forgive someone who sins against you? Peter asked Jesus that question because he had been taught that if you forgive seven times you are a very special person. In a rather sanctimonious way, Peter asked, Up to seven times? (Matt. 18: 21) Jesus turned around and said, I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times, seven (v 22).
That is 490 times. Why? Because the idea is that Jesus wants you to forgive so often that it becomes a habit. You are not keeping a record of anyones sin. You are not trying to manage anybody elses life. You are not trying to be Gods sheriff. Jesus simply wants you to be forgiving as He is.
WHY ARE YOU KILLING YOURSELF?
Jeremiah 15: 18, 19- why is my pain perpetual and my wound incurable, which refuses to be healed? Will you surely to me like an unreliable stream, as waters that fail? Therefore says the Lord; If you return, then I WILL BRING YOU BACK; YOU SHALL STAND BEFORE ME; if you take out the precious from the vile, you shall be as my mouth.2
Over the years people have told me repeatedly that they just cannot forgive, whether it involves their husband, wife, father, mother, children, or a brother or sister in Christ. I look those people right in the face and tell them its a bold-faced lie. You can forgive; you just do not want to forgive. Why? Because that unforgiving spirit is a weapon of control over that other person. You get high on hate. And you rehearse your resentment to everyone who will listen because you are controlling that other person by your refusal to forgive them. Then you pour your toxic poison into the veins of family and friends.
I encourage you today in Jesus name to stop it! That is not the will of God for a believer. Gods will is for you to forgive... and forgive completely. I can tell you that the church is not crippled by Satan and his demonic hordes, or by the media, or sarcasm from Hollywood, nearly as much as it is by unforgiving Christians. Where is the forgiveness in the house of God? If Christians would start forgiving other Christians, a mighty revival would sweep across this country. It would save marriages by the score. It would save sons and daughters. It would save nations. I would bring unity to the body of Christ if you would have the courage to do what I am telling you.
The medical community tells us that resentment and bitterness cause heart trouble, high blood pressure, strokes and ulcers. These are torturers. When you harbour unforgiveness, you literally kill yourself. Run to a place for forgiveness. Do not walk, run! It is for your benefit. It is for your peace of mind. It is for your health. It is for your soul. Let Jesus Christ set you free.
We have just returned from India, we have been to India for the first time, we preached in Hyderabad and we had fellowship with the pastor and his family. We spend 3 weeks in India and we enjoyed every minute of it, we returned 3 of October.
We were supposed to go to Orissa to preach the gospel but they were flooded out, so unfortunately we couldn't meet the pastor and his congregation, but instead the pastor came to meet with us at the Golden Palace Hotel in Bangalore we asked for him to stay there with us for 2 days by the grace of God we gave him 10,000 rupees,
we also blessed him in many other ways he told us we should come next time in the month of November so we are planning to go there in November to meet his congregation. He asked to submit the photographs of the flooding and we showed it to our church members as we are very concern as we left all the way from the United Kingdom to preach the gospel but we didn't get the opportunity therefore we are hoping by the grace of God to go there in 2012 November, we wish the pastor and his ministry well we must continue to raise money to help them, we will continue to pray for their ministry in India and by the grace of God they will continue to make progress.
India is a big and huge country with 1000s of vehicles everyday trailing the streets with various kinds of goods India is now number 2 in my mind I have been to Bangalore, Hyderabad, New Delhi and Agra we bought many things from India and the price are much cheaper especially clothes, I can see the reason why politician are saying that India and Brazil are countries to watch how right they were because India is definitely number 2 in my mind Praise God,
